Just the kindest of complexities moreso pronounced in the nitro version. Amazing nose, balance and full body.

Black color, tan head. Muskat grapes in the aroma, special b, raisin. Nice roasted flavor, lots of complexities here. Bright & medium boded throughout. This is the opposite end of a thick imperial stout with tons of coffee & chocolate.

Very drinkable stout, a little sweet, but not overly so. The longer it sits the better it gets.

Murphy (1759) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - FEB 9, 2004
So this is their flagship beer, and with good reason. Good taste of fruit, maybe raisins or grapes. Some chocolate elements in play too. Alcohol taste factors in perfectly. Good medium body. Fun stuff.

Very smooth black and creamy (nitro), with malty nose and a nice rather mellow roasted flavor, and some sweetness to balance it. Quite good.

Aroma: coffee, chocolate, roasted malts, yeast
Appearance: dark brown-->black, off-white head, lacing
Flavor: baker’s chocolate, slight cream, dark roasted malts, roasted coffee beans, slight hoppiness, melted chocolate chips
Palate: smooth but crisp and bubbly, dry-chocolate finish

beerinmarch (2830) - Washington, USA - JAN 3, 2005
On tap at the Lucky Lab public house. Pours dark, not completely black, but a bit red, with a small light tan head. Very roasty sweet chocolate aroma. Taste is creamy and smooth, chocolate up front with coffee in the finish. This brew finishes with a big bitterness with trailing mocha flavors.

omhper (19809) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - FEB 20, 2006
Draught at the brewpub. Black, small head. Strong coffee aroma. Dryish with lots of coffee and licorice, soft mouthfeel. Packed with flavours derived from roasty malt. A good, robust stout.
