Nice dark orange color with a thick head that sticks around. Very nice palate. I am really enjoying this beer.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Shink (177) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUN 29, 2012
Out of a to go bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a white head. It has a pleasant hoppy aroma and an excellent bitter taste. Not too bitter but just right. One of the better beers from Lucky Lab and they are all very good.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Newk (299) - - JUN 28, 2012
poured from tap at Lucky Labrador. Pours a nice amber color with a good foamy head to it.
Very good aromas of bitter hops, toffee, and caramel. It’s lacking some depth though.
Extremely good medium/full body with a really nice smooth feel. Balanced with good notes of toffee and caramel with some malty tones and a very nice bitter finish.
This was a very enjoyable ESB. Well balanced with just the right amount of bitterness in the taste.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 notalush (4174) - Denver, Colorado, USA - DEC 16, 2011
Tap at Hawthorne location - clear copper pour - thick, soapy lace - flavor is lightly bready, with a lot of bring fruitiness underneath - fairly crisp, american hoppiness (citrus, pepper) - not all that traditional, but crisp and quaffable - a little bit of buttery character on the tail end - decent.
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Travlr (7984) - Washington, Washington DC, USA - JUN 26, 2011
Draft at the brewpub. Deep amber color. Aroma of light pine and subtle caramel. Taste starts as caramel, bitter finish.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 drfabulous (2949) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - JUL 24, 2010
Draught at brewpub. While fine and drinkable, I’m not getting a profile that sticks out in anyway. A drinkable beer, but mediocre for taste.
2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 troopie (1989) - Munchen an der Willamette, Oregon, USA - MAY 31, 2010
Draught. Poured red/gold with medium white head. Moderate lacing. Faint but pleasant malty aroma. Malty sweetish flavour, a bit of hop in the finish. A not very bitter bitter.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 glkaiser (1214) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 17, 2009
On tap early 2009. Definitely not the "Hell Raisin" that’s also in the database. Thin sweet caramel malts with a mild bitter finish. Not much going on.
