More of a salmon-amber color than the brown one would expect of the style. Topped with a resilient head. Mild roasty malt and crystal nose. Dusky, somewhat old shoe flavor along with some off malt notes. Essence of spoiled walnuts. Possibly oxidated and overly walnutty finish.

On tap at the brewpub. This was the cask-conditioned version. Pours a chestnut brown with a big bubbled ecru head. This is super mild and flat beer, served at room temperature. Very candy sweet. Almonds! The beer is a bit too sweet and almost green tasting.
