Feb 8, 2008 3rd Brewery 07-08 Brew Trip with Bikesandbeer. Pours dark brown with a half finger tan head. Nose is smokey malt. Taste is sweet and malty and really the best thing I’ve had from them thus far.

Dec 20, 2007 Draft at the Quimby beer hall. Roasted malt and mild Xmas spice aromas. Flavor is similar. Hint of smoke in the finish. Dark mahogany color with a beige head. Good stuff.

Nov 19, 2007 On tap at Hawthorne brewery in Portland, OR--Poured a deep ruby amber brown body with a small creamy off-white head. Sweet malts and piny hops in nose. Smooth and sweet flavor with a warming wet finish. Nice beer.

Feb 20, 2006 Updated: Apr 4, 2006Draught at the brewpub. Very dark brown. Sweet and thick. Completely dominated by syrup and apples. Low hop rate. Simplistic and unattenutaed. Strange how I love the hoppy beers from this brewer, but find the malty beers to sub par.
