Lucky Lab Big Beer and Barleywine Festival. Poured a slightly cloudy orange with a moderate white head. Aroma of caramel, citrus hops, vanilla, light booze. Tastes of citrus hops, light caramel, bourbon, earth hops, toffee malt. Smooth and easy drinking and one of if not THE very best beer I had at that festival.

Hazy salmon-amber bodied with a nice froth-cream head. Quite lovely looking. The nose seems comprised of peaches and a deep honeyed fruit basket of scents. The flavor veers a bit too much on the cloying side though I imagine, with aging, this should dry out and balance out more appropriately. This brew still exhibits an enjoyable medley of very fruity notes including apricot and tangerine. Honeyed peach mead finish.

Had this on tap at the Lucky Lab Big Beer and Barley Wine Festival, March ’10. Colour... cloudy copper with no head. Nose... very malty with toffee and some musty grain. Palate... boozy, Bourbony, sweet, mouth coating, loads of toffee, dates and golden raisins. This was certainly the best of the fest, in my opinion!

Tap @ Barleywine & Big Beer Fest... I guess this is described as a quadruple IPA aged on bourbon barrels. Poured cloudy orange with a white head. The best of the fest for sure. Aroma of vanilla, caramel, little bit of hops, and some malt. Bourbon whiskey, caramel/toffee, malts, and an earthy tone to seemed to come from some hop flavors. Smooth and easy drinking.
