Draft at the brewpub. Aroma of super citrus hop. Golden amber color with a reluctant white head. Medium body, creamy carbonation. Strong citrus and pine flavors. The malt is almost lost. This is a super IPA. Way bitter into the finish.

Hazy golden in color, not a huge aroma for an IPA. Wonderful sticky-bitter mouthfeel and lingering, drying finish.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
I had this at a beer tasting festival in Oregon, so I didn’t get to take my time looking at this ale. All I know is that it rose head and shoulders above all others I tried--it smelled and tasted so bitterly delicious. Like grapefruit. Grapefruit and beer are two of my favorite foods, so I was in heaven. I only wish I could find some back here in California, but from what I read about Russian River Pliney the Younger, it just might be close to tasting like Super Dog.

En arôme, houblon frais résineux et agrumeux. Rien d’autres. Malgré un manque de complexité, cette IPA est très agréable et montre ce que les brasseurs savent faire de leur houblon.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Last stop in Portland during ABA Beer Tour 07. On draught at the brewpub pours a hazy golden amber brew with a thick and slow dissolving white head. Nice lacing compared to all the other IPAs tried at the brewpub. Aroma of white pine, grapefruit and just a touch of caramel malt. Taste is light carboanted, medium bodied with some light caramel malt along with a forest of pine flavor. Finish is the heaviest bitter bite that I am looking forward to try the Super Duper Dog when it becomes available again. The bitterness lingers around for a while too.

UPDATED: JUL 21, 2007 Poured a hearty tawny orange hue with a healthy head. Nose of sticky sweet lupulin and high alpha hops. Bitter and powerfully hopped with a potent finish. This beer could easily wreck your game if you are intolerant of hops. I love hops.

Cloudy amber colour with a small off white head. Pine needles and hoppy fruity aroma with a light malty sweetness. Hoppy bitter flavor with notes of fruit and pine. Very dry and long lasting finish.

(Bottle 65 cl) Pours a slightly hazy amber golden with a white head. Fresh, citrusy aroma. Medium body some light accents of caramel malt and fantastic, fresh notes of grapefruit. Tart and bitter - pure quinine. An IPA right up my alley. 011206
