2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
1183ml bottle from a local bodega poured into a snifter. Aroma is sweet. Sweet malt and grains. Taste is medium sweet. Grape skin and cotton candy water with boozy sweetness. Tastes way stronger than 8.2. Full nodied with a slick texture. Lively carbonation and a very long finish. Overall, meh. Not that good but ive had much worse.

1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20
This beer is a sad void into which the hopeless sink and never return. It reeks of over-ripe apples and straight-out poison. Before I even smelled it directly, just catching the aroma from afar, it sent pangs of nausea through my gut. Up close, it is actually almost a little better; the apple note becomes more cidery and the poison note, more subdued. Still, I was deeply, deeply frightened at the prospect of actually drinking this garbage. Doing so reveals a taste more or less like those foamy circus peanut candies, which is to say it tastes like stale cotton candy and nothingness. As it warms--and I do not recommend letting this happen--the sweetness builds allowing this grievous mistake of a beer to linger on the surface of the tongue. This beer is not only bad but actively malicious. It will not let you forget it. With each sip, I hate myself a little more, making the next sip of this strong and vile elixer both more necessary and more harrowing.
Whatever though. Never tried it before and a rateís a rate.

2.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Poured a deep gold with a decent head and light lacing. Aroma was sweet with hints of malt, corn and sugar. Taste started with slight sourness followed with malt, alcohol, corn and a light hop finish. A slight sour hoppiness lingered. Palate was OK. Overall, somewhat of a typical high-density malt liquor.

40 to finish the night. Sweet corn aroma, grape drink is just loaded with this aroma. Flavor doesnít follow so much, not much grape drank, just enough sweetness, stale malts. Falls flat. Started strong. Would like an example that is more fresh.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
40oz clear glass screw cap bottle pours clear gold with near white head. The aroma really isnít too bad as I get a mix of floral hops and sweet estery apple juice to heavy handed sweet honey. Thereís also some vague hops and a firm level of booziness. The taste is remarkably similar This is really not so hate full. It is overly sweet but sadly I have had much much worse.

Full name is "Lucky Number Seven 7 11 Eleven High Gravity Lager". Throw some sugar into some honey, then add some club soda, you will recreate this swill.

Big thanks to Cheapdark for this one! Pours golden with almost no head. The aroma is bready and corny with a little fusel crap and some citrus that sneaks in. The flavor is corny and fruity with a bit of alcohol and some distinct orange. Weird, but not entirely awful.

UPDATED: MAY 29, 2011 Lucky 7/11 S4LFTO: What do you think about the name of this beer; lucky number 7/11? Big 16 oz can, must be old; the latest ratings here are from a year ago. Iíve seen this before, but rarely, and finally I get a chance to taste this lucky beer. Date code 80512B3BR! This is cheap malt liquor at its apex. I am concerned before I rate because the last case of 16ís I bought from Melanie was that gag me Jaguar stuff. This cheapie is a little more alky at 8.2% and a little more expensive; 63 cents per 0.473 liter can. On the label it says it is slow brewed for a smooth flavor, heheheh. Also, it says itís brewed by Drink Beer LLC; probably because the brewer wishes to limit its liability for brewing it. When poured into a big clear mug it is showing pale yellow lager with an eighth inch white head. Smell is sweet metallic processed olfactory. Woooo-wheeeee.... first taste is almost like gas laced 85 ethanol. I know what it tastes like because I siphon sometimes to fill the lawn mower. Iím almost alarmed when my pal strikes his lighter to light a cigarette or candle around this stuff. Yes a very alky brew that retorts its alky while spitting in yer face. Tho quite offensive on the swig, I find it to be less aggravating than many imp stouts and DIPA on the slug. It comes across with a dry holdem grain alky personality. Well, this is the first can, so I got a few to go. Gets difficult as it warms, keep er cool! Finish is stripped of any hop or malt, its just high alky rude beer. I think Iím catching a buzz near the bottom of the glass. I do detect quite a bit of that Melanie brew insolence in there, the same feeling I get from any of their beers. It is the repulsive gack in many of their recipes. This so called lucky beer material (not really beery) gets easier as you become a little more intoxicated.
