COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An award winning oatmeal stout brewed with Vermont maple syrup & brown sugar, the Flare Incident has all the wonderful roasty notes of a great stout with a subtle sweetness that blends with a hint of maple to make an easy to like full-bodied beer.

Draft. Pours brown. Sweet, lightly roasted aroma. Light maple notes. Taste is sweet but dry. Smooth drinking. Nothing spectacular.

On tap at Burgers & Blues. Pours hazy copperish brown with little white head. Doesn’t really look like a stout. Aromas of some lightly roasted malts and a little caramel. Flavors are caramel, light roasted malts, and some hop bitterness. As a beer it is not bad, but this is not a stout in my opinion.

Pours dark brown with a thick light tan head. Lots of lace on the glass. Very sweet like maple syrup but not as thick. Ends with a roasty, chocolatey flavor but the syrupy sweetness never goes away.

We had this beer at the 2013 Tops of the Hops in Biloxi, MS. It’s a red that is hoppy. Interesting combination.
