Luk rosé is a young, refreshing cider. Made with McIntosh and Geneva apples, this light cider is carbonated at the bottling stage.

Pours a clear, pretty pink with a bit of initial fizz but no real head. The nose is apple, flowers, cinnamon. Didn’t know what to expect, but was hoping for a more traditional cider. Still, this has a tart snap when chilled. Under that, though, it’s very sweet, which comes through quickly as it warms. The more it opens up, the more in takes on the character of a white zinfandel. That is, a very light drink for a warm afternoon. So this doesn’t bear deep thought or slow sips, but it’s OK with hors d’oeuvres as a sweeter alternative to light beer.

clear 330ml bottle. pinkish and clear. mild appelly aroma. taste at first reminds me of some ice ciders I’ve had but that fades quickly. hides the alky content well, has to be one of the highest alky ciders I’ve tasted. yes, crisp and refreshing without really approaching that fru fru fruity alky pop effect. well done, well behaved and civilized without being too dry. Easy to enjoy.

12oz bottle poured into glass. Pink color with lots of apple in the aroma. Very much like a champagne.

355mL clear bottle. Light pink white zinfandel pour. Weak carbonation. Nose is white zinfandel rose wine, moderate cinnamon apple. Taste is similar with some decent cinnamon apple and lactic palate. It is very drinkable and clean, refreshing. But the rose wine character is a little over the top. I’d go for cheap box wine instead.

Bottle. Pours a crystal clear pinkish color with effectively no head. Nose has some crisp cider notes in there. Taste is crisp and the same, with just a hint of sweetness. Not bad.
