3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22oz waxed bomber pours with a nice and dark body supporting a full one inch mocha colored head of foam. The aroma is big and rich with a mix of caramel, toffee and coconut that creates an interesting sensation. Behind those bruising notes are mild levels of economically priced bourbon as well as a spicy oak twang. The taste is similar with candy like kettle caramelization mixing with barrel notes like coconut, bourbon and a bit of spicy oak. Beneath the sweetness and barrel notes are mild dark fruity esters and a hint of chocolate. I’m liking this even though parts of the taste and aroma don’t seem to go together too well.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Dark mahogany pour with a thin latte head that left a spot or two inside the glass. Nose is Nestlé Qwik & Orville Redenbacher. Cocoa powder and movie theater popcorn. Slightly sour and tart. Unripened berries. No oak or barrel...just a buttery mess. Unfortunate!
