12oz can pours with a clear copper body that supports a tan head of foam. The modest aroma offers up some pine hops, a bit of citrusy hops and then lightly roasted malts that are off in the background. Overall the aroma is pretty mild for the style. The taste starts with a dash of grapefruit citrus hops flavor and then it rolls into resiny citrus and pine hops. The base of malts is just about right for a classic Pale Ale with a mix of malt sweetness and a dash of lightly roasted malts. Pretty good.

Gorgeous looking pale ale out of the can, a glimmering bronze, bubbles racing to the surface. Epic lacing and excellent head retention. Don’t let the low ABV fool you -- this ain’t your grandma’s pale ale. Bold hops, citric and spicy, jump off the nose and palate. There’s just enough malt backbone to keep the hops in check, but make no mistake - they’re the stars of the show. Carbonation is spot on, nice and fizzy, making this one extra refreshing. Canned pale ales like this will always have a place in my fridge.

Thanks Dustin. Can, no date. Murky copper color. Similar look to the AZW IPA. Strong pine nose, some grapefruit sitrius buried in there. Bitter and hoppy finish. Pretty decent IPA.

Can shared by Radarsock. Thanks, Andrew! Pours orange copper with a lacey off white head. Aroma is dank, piney. Flavor is more subtle than the aroma, some caramel, dark cherry in the backbone and resiny, pine hop. Well balanced, easy drinker.

12 oz. can part of the MYSTERY BOX, graciously shipped to my home address by a cool ass dad. Thanks, sir! To undersized snifter, it pours an amber-tinted clementine orange with which an off-white ringed head 1 finger in length stood. Aromas of beach sand, green cardamom, rose water, candle wax, chopped almonds, packing tape, wheat grain, and cherry tomatoes. Tastes much the same, with the addition of garbanzo beans, tarragon, olive oil, and noble hops by mid-palate. Yeast, wet newspaper, and bitter orange peel experienced by swallow. Nice assemblage of flavors not typically found in IPAs. Would have again.

Deep golden copper pour. Medium white head with nice lacing. Piney and mild citrus hop profile. Minimal malt aroma. Lighter body. Pine flavor not heavy as in aroma and light caramel malt flavor. Medium dry finish.

Solid pale ale. Just this side of an IPA. Less bitter than an IPA but otherwise its equal. Good.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Location: Draft at a restaurant called Bonkers!, 3/4/14
Aroma: It has a nice pine hop nose, with some grapefruit and grassy notes as well
Appearance: Pours a clear gold-orange color with a great, creamy white head and lots of lace
Flavor: This one has a good hop flavor, just a little sweetness, with a nice bitter finish
Palate: The body is creamy, with a smooth, clean mouthfeel, and a crisp, dry finish
First off, Bonkers is a great name for a restaurant. Beyond that, I actually thought this was a quite tasty beer. This is a very nice, drinkable, hoppy pale ale. Really solid stuff.
