2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 Palme (2311) - Bergen, NORWAY - NOV 8, 2010
0.33l bottle from Rema1000. Pours a bronze-brown and visually lively carbonated body with a nice thin head. Nose is fresh and sweet with some fruits and malt. Taste is not bad, some caramel, hops and a thin acidic feeling in the end. I’ve had better, but won’t complain to anyone.
1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 4/20 abstractbeer (209) - NORWAY - NOV 3, 2010
2010 edition, bottle from local store. Pours a nice reddish-brown. Good head which diminishes rather quickly. Nose is very malty, vaguely fruitish. Aroma is.. eh.. Malty. Hints of raisins/tobacco. Not much else I can say. Good body/mouthfeel. Somewhat sweet taste, bitter aftertaste. High carbonation. Overall not very pleasant. It’s tempting to pour it down the drain. Maybe I should have chilled it more before tasting.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 ClubGonzo (2762) - Bergen, NORWAY - OCT 26, 2010
Bottle from Lerøy Mat, Bergen. Pours a clear bronze body with a medium, creamy off-white top. Nose is wort and grassy hops, with a hint of caramel. Taste is pretty smooth and well balanced, with some hop appearing first, only to be quickly replaced with a light caramel and wort flavor that lasts throughout the palate. Not the most exiting Christmas beer among the Norwegian grocery beers, but certainly not bad either.
