(Bottle) Golden colour with frothy white head. Fruity nose with grassy hops, grapefruit and white bread. Fruity, hoppy taste with grapefruit, tropical fruit, white bread and grassy hops in a nice, hoppy finish. Some buttery notes of malt sweetness lingers in the background. Medium body. Very nice lager with a distinct hoppy character. Sadly, the brewery have decided to stop production of this beer, yet another move away from the micro tradition for Nils Oscar.

Nice orange look with a dense fast disappearing white head. Aroma is pretty complex, citrus hobs, flowers and sweet almonds, nice. The palate is very smooth, nice malt profile to back up the bitter characteristics. Very well balanced.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Rastacouere (6042) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 1, 2007
Pale straw beer toppd by a serious sheet of white foam. No pretense aroma with firm, slightly cookie-like malts and mellow floral aromatics. The malts mostly steal the show, a well-developed breadiness, mostly fresh, but not in the same league than their pils in that regard. Still, sip after sip, a coating bitterness envelopes the gums slowly and gently procuring slight lemon nuances, though they never cut through the toastiness. Clean palate keeping a hint of sweetness until the very end. Rather thick for a lager.
