Started out life as Primula, brewed at Alvinne. After a complaint of bully Haacht, brewers Jan & Veerle took their beer to De Graal, rebaptizing it "Koriala".

Hazy golden coloured body with a thinnish, white head that leaves a nice lace. Aroma of pale malt, wheat, yeast, spices, coriander seed, curacao, light hops and a nice sweet pineapple scent. Medium-bodied; Assertive spicey belgian yeast with some good malt, a little spice kick and a good subdued hoppy bite with some grapefruit near the end. Aftertaste is quite complex with the full range coming into play from yeast to wheat to hops to spice and finishing with a dry, herbal, saison and biere de garde type taste. Overall, a nice and complex beer that is very nice and should be sampled by all. I sampled this 33 cL stubby bottle purchased from Bier Tempel in Bruxelles, Belgium on 02-January-2011 for €2,50 sampled at home on the other side of the pond in Washington on 08-August-2011.

22/06/2011 33cl bottle @ home - BB: 6/2011 (2011-271)

Pretty cloudy yellowish beer, white very creamy and stable head, adhesive. Aroma: very fruity, lots of peaches, mango, other sweet yellow fruits. Some candi sugar, touch of yeast, sweet malts, citrussy hops. A lot going on here. MF: good carbon, full body, creamy texture. Taste: fruity, citrus, a bit sweet, turning to bitter. Aftertaste: more citrus, ending pretty dry. Damn, I discovered this one too late. :(

Bottle shared by jtclockwork, thanks James. Poured a orange/gold body with an average white(ish) foamy head. Aroma is sweet with slight notes of alcohol, yeast, flowers, dry. Flavor is drier then expected and far drier then the sweet aroma. Palate is medium to fuller bodied with a slightly foamy body. Enjoyable but overall it can improve in a few areas.

Aroma: American citrus hops, sweet, spicy, alcohol. Large head and hazy appearance. Sweet taste. Nice beer except there’s too much carbon dioxide.

Bottle@Home. Very nice aroma of citrus and coriander. Light hazy, pale yellow, white head, good lace. Light sweet, bitter, citrus, coriander. Medium body, dry finish. Balanced and technically very nice. Reminded me a lot of La Chouffe but better.

Bottle, bought @ EG.
Hazy yellow golden with a big, white head. Frothy at the bottom, creamy near the top. Lovely flowery aroma, crisp malts, mild green apple, some wine gums, light oranges. Lovely actually. High carbonation, fine creamy and lightly dry mouthfeel. Flavour is a bit weak, lots of sweet malts, light apple, oranges and a mild banana hint. Fine flowery notes and a fair bitter finish with a hint of pepper. Nice.
