3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 yngwie (10760) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAY 16, 2013
Bottle. A dense, finger-thick off-white head leaves lacings as the more or less clear, dark amber to brown body slides down my throath. Yeasty, sugary aroma with prunes and some grassy, piney hops. The flavor is pretty much the same, too sugary and yeasty I think, with prunes and some caramel hints. Decent bitterness. Full body, some warmth. Pleasant carbonation. As for Wolf 7 & 8, it’s way too yeasty. Else it’s quite decent. 130516

Donkeramber, veel plakkerig schuim dat ook lang blijft. Aroma van mout, wat zoetfruit. Smaakt wat naar brood, hout, drop, maar niet erg sterk.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 slnr (7) - - FEB 23, 2013 does not count
UPDATED: MAR 1, 2013 Easy to drink, subtile fruitiness (pear/peachy) maybe missing some body in the pallate. Not bad, still room for more maturity in the finish
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Douberd (625) - NETHERLANDS - FEB 12, 2013
330 ml bottle, at home, poured into a tulip glass. ABV 9%
Wow, I didn’t expect such a colour! Deep amber, with a big soapy head, at least three fingers tall. Off white in colour, with very good retention, left a good lacing behind.
Nice aroma too, with mostly dark fruits, sugars, light alcohol.
Taste is sweet, with lots of spices, I could swear I taste some red paprika powder. Very interesting.
Full body and very carbonated.
Overall a very interesting beer, I thought I had bought a strong belgian ale but it was so different from what I had before on the style. Very impressed by the colour, since I like dark beers and the spicy taste, although is strange at first, it manages to make it pleasant and very drinkable.
