3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. A dense, finger-thick off-white head leaves lacings as the more or less clear, dark amber to brown body slides down my throath. Yeasty, sugary aroma with prunes and some grassy, piney hops. The flavor is pretty much the same, too sugary and yeasty I think, with prunes and some caramel hints. Decent bitterness. Full body, some warmth. Pleasant carbonation. As for Wolf 7 & 8, it’s way too yeasty. Else it’s quite decent. 130516

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle 33cl. Ruby coloured with a cream top which lasts a long time. Aroma has sourness but is not very special. Taste is flat at first but soon the spices, and alcohol hit in. Has a long aftertaste. Quite good.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Ligt eigenlijk in de lijn met de Wolf 8, spijtig genoeg. Dan is de wolf 7 een veel lekkerder bier.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from the Bierschuur in Poppel. The beer is amber colored and has a large creamy head, with a lot of bubbles. The aroma is fruity, with tones of bananas, caramel and a little alcohol. The taste is sweet, fresh and fruity with some fruit notes and a little alcohol. The finish is strong with some spices and a little warming alcohol with a light bitterness. A good strong ale, but not the best.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma of mixed, sweet fruits and yeast. Sweet dried fruits in the flavour although it’s quite mild. Lacks depth for its 9%.

2.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
0.33L bottle. Pours a clear read with an off-white head. Aromas of alcohol, licorice and burnt sugar. Flavor goes almost immediately to hop and roasted malt bitter, lingering citrus and candi sugar. Cloying sugars sticking to the back of the throat, but surprisingly absent malt flavor.
Full body with a fairly sticky mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Overall, a pretty heavy beer with some nice aromas, but flavor doesn’t really warrant the heaviness. Couldn’t drink too many of these.
