Pours clear yellow. No head. Sweet wite wine flavor with a cloying sweet honey finish. A syrupy aftertaste. Not bad.

[At The Evening Star, Brighton] A light yellow mead with no head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of honey and lesser notes of flowers - and so is the flavor.

My first mead, so I have nothing to compare this to. Appearance: light yellow with no head. Smslls of sweet honey, some floral aroma... all very light (not strong). Flavor is strong alcohol with some honey notes. Light finish. I enjoy it, but not for the price.

The aroma is of a floral perfume with a hint of honey. The appearance is a clear golden color. Since its not a carbonated beer it has no head. The taste is like a sweet white wine with a more pronounced alcohol character and grassy notes. The honey taste is subtle. The finish is surprisingly dry for a drink as sweet as this one. The aftertaste is somewhat like a bitter wood taste.

Thin light yellow. Aroma is sour cat piss and some evergreen trees and soap. The taste is better with some apples and maybe a hint of metallic notes. Overall a fairly harsh mead and not too pleasurable on it’s own. However, it pairs well with sweet and succulent food. This might also be nice with spices or ice cold.

This stuff sucks. I’m sorry. I like mead a lot but I hate, hate, hate bad mead. And this sucks. So fuck it. OK clear gold color. Funky weird and bad nose of oak, aspirin, scrubbing bubbles and honeysuckle. Thin watery flavor. There’s a bit of nice grapeyness here and there but that’s minor. Overall, I say bugger this crap. On top of that, it gives me heartburn. Fuck it.

Pale yellow colour, chardonnay like with a still appearance. Aroma is very perfumy, honeyish and floral. Very strong wildflower aroma. The flavour is very strange and seems like a combination of musky perfume/cologne and honey. Semi-sweet on the palate. As the mead warms a really awful petrol/diesel flavour emerges. The finish is probably the best part of this mead and shows light honey sweetness combined with sweet breadiness. A strange mead, and really quite poor. Maybe this one is made for mulling, as it was purchased, I couldn’t finish my glass.
