Pale yellow colour, chardonnay like with a still appearance. Aroma is very perfumy, honeyish and floral. Very strong wildflower aroma. The flavour is very strange and seems like a combination of musky perfume/cologne and honey. Semi-sweet on the palate. As the mead warms a really awful petrol/diesel flavour emerges. The finish is probably the best part of this mead and shows light honey sweetness combined with sweet breadiness. A strange mead, and really quite poor. Maybe this one is made for mulling, as it was purchased, I couldn’t finish my glass.

Alcohol, honey and grape aromas abound from the glass and a grassy malt nose lags behind lazily. The color is pale yellow as if you had severely watered down the honey. Tiny champagne size bubbles swiftly rise from the bottom. The flavor is a buttery cream feel with sweet honey and a warm alcohol finish. The palate is light and yet warming as it leaves your mouth and travels on.

As "Christmas Mead" - This is a clear pale yellow drink with a light grassy, sweet honey aroma. Very wine-like in flavor, this is quite tasty with a subtle honey aftertaste. I really know squat about meads, but I enjoyed this.

Clear golden coloured body with a thinnish look when agitated. Aroma at first of dirty feet, honey and foul grass. After that dies down, you notice the honey more than anything else. Light-bodied; Funky alcoholic taste with some yeast noticeable, but mostly honey. Aftertaste shows some strong alcohol and nothing pleasant. Overall, not impressed with this mead...it is the second i’ve ever had, but second to the Apis! I sampled this 50 cL bottle purchased by my brother-in-law in Hilton Head, South Carolina on 12-December-2004.

Bottle, light yellow in color, no head, alcohol and honey aroma, nice honey sweet taste with bit of alcohol at the end, can also bring out fruit. i don’t like meads but this one was pretty decent.

Bought in the US as Christmas Mead. No head (still). Body is clear medium yellow. Aroma is notes of honey, lettuce, alcohol, flowers, hint of orange peel. Flavor is heavily sweet, lightly acidic. Finish is moderately sweet, moderately acidic. Full body, syrupy texture, flat carbonation, lightly alcoholic, lightly astringent. Slightly vegetative aroma is a little off-putting, but the flavor balance is decent for a semi-sweet to sweet mead...there is a small amount of tannins that help the mouthfeel too. Not bad, not great.

This was my first mead so didn’t quite know what to expect. Strong alcohol aroma. Sweet white wine aroma and taste. Syrup like body. Little alcohol bite at the end.

Bottle. A fair mead. Light yellow in color. Still. Aroma is of alcohol and honey. Smooth, alchol is not as dominant in the flavor as it is in the aroma. Just lacks a little in complexity.
