Bottle (of Xmas Mead), consumed on Christmas Night. Pours a nice honey yellow. The aroma is quite vinous for a mead, but the honey is still prominent, and kind of a woody note as well. The flavor is smooth honey with few off flavors (which stand out to me in meads for some reason). Good stuff.

My first mead rating.Nice golden yellow color, with a sweet honey aroma.Has a big honey taste followed by a slight alcohol aftertaste.(did not add spices). Was surprised that there wasnt more of a alcohol taste due to its 12.5%..very good!

Christmas mead served with spices. Golden yellow in color. Standard honey aroma with some spices (which were added from the packet). The spices help lessen the overbearing honey flavor which some meads have.

Gold color with no head. Very little impact of the cinimon or cloves on the overall appearance. A very nice honey taste, with some alcoholic endings.

Fairly earthy, and quite sweet, this was interesting, but I didn’t enjoy it that much. Ours was not spiced, even though it was at a christmas party. I like the earthiness and the mouth feel was just right, body and sweetness without being too thick. Perhaps I just am not a huge fan of honey...

I had this at christmas at my relatives in bournemouth. Its very very sweet and quaffable, the percentages is fooling because it doesnt taste that strong, induces sharp headaches in the morning.

Sweetish, the taste of honey is very present, naturally. But it’s strong, and not harsh, it’s just not beer.
