2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 JoeinEscazú (1324) - San Jose, COSTA RICA - FEB 27, 2008
A pretty wet and flabby pale lager that I thought might have been a Super Bock clone. Draft at Cervejeira Lusitana in Carnaxide. Aroma offers a touch of buttery nuttiness from the malt, only the faintest touch of bitterness. As light as they come, for rehydration purposes only. Soft carbonation. Possibly a different recipe before UNICER took over the pub’s brewing.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 omhper (17466) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - FEB 19, 2007
Draught at Cervejeira Lusitana (José Malhoa location), Lisbon. Clear golden, small head. Grassy nose. Dry with German style crisp malt and light body. Not enough grassy hops for a pils, but still enought to distinguish it from the mass market Portuguese beers. Salty bitterish finish. A fairly well made thirst quencher - just add some more hops.
