COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Note: The ABV is questionable. The Ukrainian website and the bottle state that it’s "not less than 4%", but importers’ labels sometimes state that it’s 5% on same beers whose labels say "more than 4".

Draught. Pours a clear golden with a white head. Smells a bit like cats piss, grass, hops. Tastes of a light sweetness, medium grassy bitterness, salty. Light bodied, light carbonation, watery/oily texture. Not great, but it works for a lager.

Sampled draft at the patio bar on Андріїв& узвіз near Bulgakov Museum (great tour & museum by the way). This one seemed like the biggest beer in Ukraine so I figured that I needed to investigate it. Totally clear beer, little white head. Nose is dull sweet apple, grain, low stale urine. Taste is sweet grainy soap, low plastic, sugar, bland, soft carbonation, near low cooked cabbage. Pretty weak, expected it a tad better even though it is a giant industrial beer. Brewery used to have some genuine history but these days it is just an industrial hollow shell masquerading.

Can 0.5l. Clear light golden with white head. Aroma of ripe fruits (banana, pear) and some graininess. Bitter flavor with notes of black pepper, lemon and some graininess, fruity, sourish, harsh bitterness in the finish. Light to medium-bodied.

Malty but not a very pleasant maltiness. A bit of a soapy, pungent flavour with very little hop profile but drinkable because it is watery and the flavour is weak. A bit below average standard European macro lager.

Sampled from a 16.9 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright yellow-golden color with a huge soapy white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was sweetish, yeasty and grassy. The flavor was sweetish, yeasty, grassy and had a bit of lemon. Medium length finish. Light body. Bland and inoffensive.

Beer is a bright light straw color, foam medium-grained, not very stable. Aroma well-defined, grassy, slightly hoppy, slightly damp and giving tap water. The body is quite dense. On the palate there is little sweetness, but the main role is played here by malt-herbaceous note, which is more pronounced herbaceous component. The finish is again slightly gives lush grass, but after a while there is a clear hop bitterness, also quite long.

Enjoyed several draft pints of this beer while in Kiev, Ukraine. The beer had a rich, deep golden color with rising bubbles to a large foamy-creamy white head with good retention, cling, and lacing. Its aroma had a nice blend of grainy and earthy hops, along with some light caramel malt character. The taste had a pleasant grainy and earthy bitterness with light floral notes and a bit of malt. Its body was quite creamy and wet with a filling mouthfeel and average carbonation. Pretty good for a national lager.
