Bottle, thanks a million to Eldesmadre for the patience and persistence! Well, here’s a beer that somehow reminds me of an improved Utenos Porter. It does have a similar appearance, just a touch darker. Aroma and flavours of caramel malt, molasses, cherries, Nestle caramel milk, corn syrup, a bit of dark fruits and Marsala, on the same trend of the Utenos, but more refined and pleasant. The wine that comes across make this porter rather boozy too, but nothing offensive. Medium to light bodied, with a good amount of carbonation, it is still nice and velvety on the palate. Much much better than other Ukranian beers I have tried, including the Persha Chorne.

From 0.5l bottle to the cognac glass . BBD: 24.12.2012 (drunk more than one year after its BBD). APP: Pours clear dark brown liquid, ruby shine. Medium, brown head that fade slowly to some small thickness that persisted for the rest of the time . AR: Malt, chocolate, red fruits, raisins, sweet, alcohol, red wine. T: Heavy sweet, medium bitter, light sour. Sweet malts, alcohol, red fruits, some sourness, PAL: full body, oily texture, lively carbonation, long bitter finish. bit warning, quite drinkable! OV: A good beer. If we consider the manufacturer- brewer, it is a very good piece. Very good ratio quality/ price. Be careful about the alcohol content. I recommend this one. Certainly the best commonly distributed beer from Ukraine.

Flaška (děkuji pěkné, Imro!):Clear, mahagony coloured, stable and lacy loose tanned head, sweetish sugary toasty nose, traces of dried fruits, chocolate and port-wine in the background; solid - a bit drier, but stil - sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; lingering chocolatey-bitter and sweet-fruity finish, lingering toasted malt in the aftertaste. Pretty complex and well balanced good brew…
