Ungstrup (11378), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 12, 2007 Bottled. A deep red beer with a brown head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of roasted malt, but also with lighter notes of dust and over ripe fruits. The flavor is very alcoholic which gives it a good body, but also with strong notes of roasted malt and berries, leading to a dry roasted finish, where the alcohol carries thru. omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Jul 3, 2007 Bottled. Nut brown, cramy beige head. Aroma of bread and molasses. Fairly sweet and boldly malty. Chewy with grain and licorice as well as salt and grass. Malt flavours dominate completely. Despite it’s light colour it tastes like a Polish porter. Papsoe (10460), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 1, 2006 (Bottle 50 cl) Pours a clear, reddish mahogany with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malt and alcohol. Full-bodied with sweet, roasted malt and a distinct alcohol burn in the binish. Some bitterness. 260806 joergen (6529), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 27, 2006 Bottle at RBESG 2006.
Clear red brown coloured with a small off white head.
Sweet aroma of malts and caramel with roasted notes.
Roasted flavour of caramel with notes of alcohol.
Roasted finish. oh6gdx (6339), Vaasa, Finland Sep 3, 2006 Bottled. Dark ruby red colour, small brown head. Aroma of plum, alcohol, apricot and some dark fruit. The flavour is the same, and hides ABV quite well. Mostly alcohol shows in the finish, which gives a slight "burning" palate.
