Bottle at Bruce’s, London. I picked this up in Bratislava. Pours clear, reddish brown with a fine, creamy beige head. Sugary semi-dark malt nose, some dryish caramel, hints of cocoa. Medium sweet flavor, bit more caramel, moderate roast, toasty sugars, some rich fruits. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Medium sweet finish, pleasant caramel, toasty bread, light earth, raisins. Decent balance, nice chocolate.

The head is ok, the body black. It smells sweet, fruity, aromatic, sugary-plum, nice, a bit caramel. The taste is fruity, sugary, aromatic, a bit roasty. Ok but could have more coffee or roasty tastes. 12/11/11/11/11/11

Cheers to Keen Massey for this one. Opaque black - brown beer, tidy pale tan head. Soft palate - has real body. Mild roast in the robust dark malt. Mild lactose. A few esters underneath. Mild hop provides a little balancing orange before the finish. Traces of coffee and dark chocolate. Finishes semi dry and smooth. An unexpected treat - really nice porter, well balanced, tasty and smooth.

Quite good Baltic Porter. Nice dark color with light brown head.Taste of coffee an caramel.

Dark brownish colour with a tan head. Caramel malt and some roased notes in the aroma. Medium pluss body and slightly sweet. Chocolate, caramel malty and some fruity notes. Not that well hidden alcohol.

Barva: tmavá rubínová. Pěna hustá, držící. Vůně: karamelově čokoládová s nádechem kávy. Chuť: plné řízné pivo s výraznou příjemnou sladovou chutí doprovázenou vyšší hořkostí, která příjemně doznívá na patře. Obrovské překvapení! Ostatní piva z tohoto pivovaru stojí za houby, ale porter se jim povedl.

Bottle at the Crimean. Great strong ale. Aromas of caramel, chocolate, and alcohol. Taste is sweet, with very long length. Palate is creamy, and full bodied. Dark brown, with a frothy head.

Bottle. Dark ruby brown with a medium head. Nothing complex about it but the dark chocolate and licorice aroma, followed by roasted and milky notes is nice enough. Moderately full body. Sweet, chocolate flavoured main part and a light to medium bitter, licorice flavoured finish. The alcohol shines through at times but is well balanced by the aroma depth of this beer. Good one!
