Bottle in Kiev. Amber pour, sugary, some ripe fruits and caramel in the aroma. Watery texture, slightly boring, sweet and thin.

UPDATED: NOV 25, 2015 Aroma: malty, bready, roasted with very light spicy herbs Taste: sweet with some tannin astrigency and some fruity sourness. Flavour: roasted bread, some sunflower oil, some spices. Macro dunkel with very light spices and astrigency. Not bad for macro, however not so strong and spicy as expect for Xmas beer. Note: my sample was 4,4%

Beer, as in previous years, produced in a limited quantity. Unlike beer 2012-2014 period, according to the data on the label, this year has been slightly modified formulation. So, at the same density, alcohol content increased slightly (from 3.9 to 4.4%) + from the composition of the maltose syrup disappeared.

Somewhat sweeter/maltier than the usual Lvivske run but nothing hugely distinctive (would actually not have known it was a dunkel--or even a dark beer--had I tasted it blind.) A bit watery as well, and not much in the way of Christmas spices, but quite drinkable nonetheless

Really well put together, nice lacing with a lighter body. Some apple, brown sugar, not picking up much spice though

Mahogany body. Fluffy fawn head. Berryish spices, fruity dark malts, fruity grassy sweet hops to the nose. Tastes fruity brown malts, plums, crowberries, grass, leafy hops, colabean, chocolate. Finishes fruity but not lingering. Average body, soft carbonation. Nice sipper to new year dishes or a fruit plate. [50cl br btl 3.9% 11.6°, tp091214 Bb090615 B@Sil’po Kremenchuk UA]

0,5 bottle. Pours dark brown colour with light white to beuge head that quickly disappears. Aroma of roast, bread, spices, caramel. Hazy liquid. Light bittersweet taste with some roast, dried fruits. Medium sour. Medium to full body. Oily texture. Flat carbonation. Astringent finish. Surprisingly nice beer.

UPDATED: DEC 6, 2015 BOTTLE 50 CL. Dark ruby-brown, beige head. Light body with a light sweetness, lightly spiced by coriander and cinnamon. Not flawed or unbalanced, but it built primarily on spices, the base beer being more than humble. Decent, though. 5-4-5-3-11=2.8

25-FEB-2014. BOTTLE 50CL. Look: dark brown almost black with a light beige creamy head with good retention. Aroma: very faint, spice/herbs, coriander?, anise? licorice, brown sugar. Taste: light sweet, a light acid bite, spicy, light bitterness with an astringent finish. 5-4-5-3-11=2.8

(Bottle, thank you Anicka <3) Pours in dark body with hints of ruby agains light with high, creamy, long lasting tan head. Aroma is dark malts, hints of roasty, caramel, light spiced, not harsh. Taste is high malt sweetness with notes of chocolate, toasty. Medium noble and grassy bitterness in the after taste. Quite well balanced. Body is full, oily texture, low carbonation. What a surprise for an Ukrainian beer.
