This lingering combination of pale Maris Otter malts and choice German hops may make you pause for thought. As you contemplate the gentle biscuit malts, fresh Hersbrucker hops seduce the taste buds educating and enlightening the palate.
So why is Mr Einstein on the pump clip? It’s not rocket science... but it is thinking drinking.

A strong well hopped golden ale, with a clear colour and medium white head. A crisp flavoured beer with all the hop that you could manage this is a slightly bitter beer which refreshes the palate and I will agree with the name it does make you think there are so many subtle flavours it make you think more about the beer that the drinking. There is a zesty aroma and the hoppiness is clear but overall it is a pleasant drink but not one that I could drink all night.

Cask at The Metropolitan bar (Spoons), Baker Street, London. A golden coloured pour with a thin white head on top. Hoppy, malty, fruity aroma. Tastes the same, slightly hoppy, malty, fruity and quite sweet. Easy drinker this one.

Cask at JDW WIQ, London. It pours a clean golden cor with medium white head. Aroma is grassy and crisp with citrus biscuit and straw. Tate has some mellow stone fruit sweetness, more grass and citrus. Light to medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, legit

Not bad. Grassy aroma. Passion fruit flavours. Mild on palate. Appearance yellow cloudy. All in all drinkable and good for sessions. Strength surprising.

Sep 2015 - Cask at The Rockingham, Elephant & Castle. Pale yellow, clear, still, small bubbly white head. Aroma is rubber, spice, passionfruit. Body is medium, smooth, soft carbonation. Taste is citrus and cracker malts. Grassy, pretty bitter, peppery finish. Very crisp. Like a big, spicy German lager on steroids. Decent.

Tasted this in the Last Post, Paisley (JDW) on the 3rd September 2015. Cask, handpump dispense. Opaque gold in colour with a thin white head. Strong sulphurous notes present in the lightly hopped aroma. Thin but watery mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malt base gives a light fruity citrus peel of lime and floral elderflower. Light floral hops present in the short bitter aftertaste. Finish is again hoppy but very light and floral, verging on the insipid. Another poor Golden Ale to add to the plethora out there.

Cask @ Dirty Dicks, Halifax. Golden with a thick creamy head. Has a smoothish session texture with a hoppy base. There’s a very light floralness in its nose and similar with a very light sweetness in its taste. Slips down the palate with ease.

UPDATED: FEB 24, 2015 Cask at The Green Dragon, Leek (JDW) Hazy golden colour with thin white head. Aroma is grassy, herbal, biscuity and slightly citrusy. Taste of biscuity malts and lemons. Also grassy and herbal. Light bodied and watery texture. Crisp, citrusy hop finish. Surprisingly boring, not what I was expecting.
