Pours cloudy amber. Not overly impressed. Very malty taste. Smooth to drink, but nothing memorable.

3.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A golden blonde ale, with a thick foam head and plenty of life. There are only very weak aromas of caramel, however flavour is greatly different, intense citrus and bitter flavours burst in the mouth and you can feel the every last drop on your tongue. A very refreshing beer with a smooth finish from the caramel, another brilliant creation from the Lymestone Brewers!!

On cask at Cloisters. Pours a light golden colour with a thick white head. Aroma of caramel, pine and caramel. Similar flavours with moderate carbonation and an oily mouth-feel. Nice and dry to finish.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled (from Beers Of Europe). Slightly hazy orange colour, small slightly off-white head. Aroma is wood, mild bitter floral and grassy notes as well as some slight maltyness. Flavour is rather similar with crisp maltyness and quite rich carbonation. Nice bitter and earthy finish.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle; clear gold; malty and bitter, chalky, hints of lemon, nettles and salt alongside the peppery hops; it called to mind one of those packets of salt and cracked black pepper crisps that you get from fancy supermarkets; this is definitely not what I want from my beer.

LIghtly hopped IPA and very easy to palate due to its very healthy texture.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sunday evening: 22 Apr 2012. 500ml brown bottle out of date by a year: Poured into a vase shaped ’Old Speckled Hen’ badged glass (at home).
Pale golden body almost lager clear: on top a full and deep white crown of foam.
Boadicea and Pilot hops give the aroma a mild peppery feel that just over-shaddows the malted barley and wheat smells.
The taste is a refreshingly pleasant blend of the above ingrediants: this is a well balanced brew that I really enjoyed.
Full bodied for an English Pale Ale, a tasty beer that went very nicely with my mini Pork Pie.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cask at Hamilton Hall, JDW, London. Pours clear gold with a fine foam head. Zesty citrus and straw in the nose. Light to medium sweet flavor with sticky lemon, dry straw and hay, and some light dough. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Medium sweet and dry finish, with lightly earthy and lasting bitterness. A very classic golden ale.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pale amber beer with a strongish head. The aroma is lightly hopped and toffee, and the flavour is fairly deeply toffee and bitter with a long finish. Overall a competent bitter.
