COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask: Seasonal - Summer
After a long hard day in the saddle, unwind at your local watering hole with the Chaps. Amarillo hops refresh and revive the palate. With more than a hint of red eye about it, this is definitely one the for the road(eo). This seriously drinkable pale red beer is available in 9s and 18s until the end of September.

Cask (handpump) at the Roebuck Inn (JD Wetherspoon), Nottingham on 13 July 2012. Amber / gold colour with lasting fluffy white head. Wouldn’t have really said there was much red in the colour. Excellent lively condition. Some biscuity malts in the aroma. Very lemony on the palate. Clean, firm mouthfeel with a persistent dry, moderately bitter aftertaste. Extremely drinkable.

Hand pulled at the Figure of Eight, Birmingham. A very interesting Bitter: super smokey, with a smokiness which persists throughout the pint. Slick mouthfeel, really pleasant.

Cask conditioned at Harbury Beer Fest ’10, gravity dispensed. Reddish copper with white head. The first thing you notice with this is how strongly bitter it is, cheek drawing, lip pursing bitterness with a dry malty background. The Amarillo’s give hints of the wild west. A decent brew.

Cask, Slug & Lettuce, Leicester. Amber with an off-white foam. Aromas are woody, earthy and spicy with base caramel and toffee malts. Grapefrui and pine with cocoa and bready yeast. Flavours are weetabix malts followed by plenty of piney, earthy, dry hops. Spicy with hints of ginger. Resinous bitter lemon and grapefruit with spritzy yeast with some nuttiness. Very dry on the finish. Very moreish.

On cask at The Bow Bar Summer Beer Festival, 2011. A quite dark blonde colour with a pillowy white head. Aroma of peppery hops, caramel and malt. Quite malty flavour also with quite prominent bitterness and a dry finish. Just OK.
