MoritzF (3690), Ruhrpott, Germany Oct 10, 2005 (bottle) Pale golden colour with a foamy white medium head. Floral hoppy nose with a touch of slight sweet malts and a tinge of honey. Moderate hopbitter flavour, light to medium body, crispy mouthfeel. Slight sweet malty taste, pleasant and quite lasting bitter and foral hoppy aftertaste. A well-made and moreish Pilsener. bierkoning (4691), La Tropica, Netherlands Jul 24, 2005 Forthy head. Hoppy, just a bit flowery, somehwat herbal and grassy aroma. Hoppy, almost creamy malty somewhat hay-like flavor. Hopbitter aftertaste. Absolutely a top quality Bavarian pilsener. Thanks Dortmunder, for getting me acquinted with this pilsener. pivnizub (3768), Porúří, Germany Jul 20, 2005 Bottle: Clear golden colour, thin lacing fluffy head; very light hoppy nose, some musty vegetables; light sweetish flavour, nearly no aftertaste; a great secret: why is this brew called Pils ? Too complicated for me......... dortmunder (961), Herdecke, Germany Jun 30, 2005 Bottled. Clear golden colour. Medium bubbly head with a frothy top. Nose is floral hops, hints of malt and a light sweetness. Taste is first and foremost hoppy and bitter, then flowery hop notes, sweetness and a bready maltiness kick in. Finishes hop-bitter with a light sweetness and leaves a lingering bitter aftertaste. Wow, I was really caught by suprise from this beer. I believe this is a beer that pilsner fans would love. Maybe the only downside of this is that it doesn´t have quite a full body as the best pilsners like Pilsner Urquell, Jever or Budweiser. Have to try this again, soon. Great.
