From the bottle during last nights dinner (27-5-2016). Pretty good quad, dark brown with a good head. Aroma of malt, yeast, dried fruit. Taste of malt yeasy, dried fruit, caramel. Sweet in a good way, this is a good drinkable quad!

Drank a self-aged 2014 bottle with Kaspar at my place 25-5-2016. Very nice. Maybe because the bottle was about 1,5 years old, but nice, rich sweetness. Carbonation was a bit gone, nice. Reminded me of Pannepot.

Could have mistaken it for a stout. Rather pricey at local liquerstore at 3 euro a bottle. I really like it! Could be a favortie or a regular in my beercellar if it wasn’t for the price.

(Bottle, In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 19 Feb 2016) Dark brown colour with dense, beige head. Malty, slightly roasted nose with notes of dried fruit, caramel, raisins, dark bread and brown sugar. Malty, sweet taste with caramel, dried fruit, rum raisins, prunes, brown sugar and a mild spicy bitterness in the finish. Full body, quite sweet. Tasty and warming, but on the sweet side. Nice one.

UPDATED: JUL 29, 2016 Een donkere quadrupel, met zoet-kruidig aroma. De smaak is zoet, maar ook gelaagd door gebrande mout: volle smaak met kandij, pruimedant, rozijn, stroop, hop. Zeer geslaagd brouwsel.

33cl bottle. Dark ruby pour, clear, with a very thin beige head. Visible carbonation at the top. Smells of dried fruit - prunes, raisins - and caramel. The taste is sweet, and just a bit bitter, with notes of dried fruit, sherry and brown sugar. A bit too sweet and cloy, but the flavours are all there.
