UPDATED: MAR 28, 2012 Amber to brown colour with a nice strong, lasting head. Smells fresh and hoppy, caramel, fruity. Tastes very nice and hoppy, grapefruits, fresh. Nice palate, good carbo and a medium body.

Bottle, 300 ml at home, poured into a lager glass. ABV 5% Beutiful deep copper orange colour (or light amber) with a big soapy head on top, light beige in colour. Good retention and light lacing left on the glass. Aroma of caramel, malts, lightly hoppy, with some dark fruits as well. Very nice taste too, hoppy enough, a bit malty with caramel notes and with a quite bitter aftertaste with long duration too. Medium thin body, average carbonation. Very dry on the palate. Overall a very tasty beer, very close to the english bitters.

Hazy amber colour. Aroma has some sweet floral and malty notes. Very soft malty taste, almost creamy. Background of floral hop and some more upfront caramel and sweet fruits help make this a great, easy to drink session beer.

De bierstijl was tot nu toe onbekend voor mij. Toch proeft het bier heel herkenbaar. Sterke moutsmaak, mooie lichte bittertonen aanwezig. Niet zoet.

Clear dark amber, nice beige head. Not much aroma. Taste is a lot better, with some roasted malts, caramel malts and a nice bitter aftertaste. Good carbonation and an easy to drink beer!

Copper coloured beer with a nice beige frothy head. Caramel, candy cherry, cookie dough and some clove. Taste is more spicy and with a light sweet backbone. German hops, some roasted tones. Easy drinkable. Pairs well with food. Nice but not spectacular. (33cl bottle, fairly cheap)

Bottled, BB sept 2013, large sample. Clear amber color, medium off-white head. Aroma of grainy malt, some caramel, toffee, toasted malts, slight grassy hop, bread. Slight sweet taste, caramelly. Just a soft bitterness. Pretty clean. Decent brew, just not a very exciting style.

bottle, from Bierkoning - bedankt. Hazy golden-brown colour, large off-white head. Malty, lots of chocolate and caramel, pleasant hoppy finish. Well-balanced, convincing Vienna style beer.

Courtesy of bierkoning, thanx Edo!!!
The beer in the glass is medium brown with fine-pored, creamy head. Smells sweet malty, slightly sour-yeasty, with lots of hops! Starts malty sour, with nuances of roasted malts, caramel in the background. In the middle part comes out a clear hop aroma (Amarillo, I guess). Goes into a bitter hoppy, malty caramelly finish!

Bottle from Bierkoning. Bold amber with slight head. Nose of barley, malts and toffee. Nice hoppy and malty balance. Sweet and strong in the finish. Enjoyable.
