Standard Belgian style tripel. Could use a bit more body, it’s somewhat thin now. The spices are nice, but could be more outspoken.

On tap at Arendsnest, Amsterdam. Cloudy, orange/amber body. Big and fluffy, off-white head with excellent lacing. Aroma of cheese and spices. Gentle in the mouth, could’ve been more complex.

30 cl bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is fruity, light citrusy and light yeasty. Mild phenolic. Ginger, orange and coriander. Toasted light malty and vague oxidised note. Dry, fruity and phenolic. Dry and light spiced finish.

Bottle from Bierkoning, thank you! Hazy dark golden with a medium head. I found this to be somewhat underwhelming for a tripel, despite the extended list of ingredients. Aroma is somewhat hoppy, with candied sugar, apricots, peach and orange, and only a whiff of spiciness that is reminiscent of coriander. Sweet yet refreshing taste with a somewhat floury mouthfeel. Fruity flavour, not too aromatic, while the finish is boozy, spicy and hoppy. The booziness felt a bit misplaced, given the overall lightness of this beer. It’s ok, though a but disappointing given the style.

Courtesy of bierkoning, thanx Edo!!!
The beer in the glass is strong golden yellow with a delicate, creamy high white head. It smells sweet, yeasty, grainy and slightly alcoholic. Starts with sweet yeast and lots of pale malts, coupled with very sweet fruit flavors. The middle part is yeasty-sweet, again with lots of pale malts and some bitter hops. Goes into a perfumed-alcoholic and yeasty-sweet finish with lots of fruity flavors.
