Matig bier. Gedronken van de tap op het bierfestival van Groningen ’12. Smaak is matig en de geur slecht.

Bottle. Golden with white head. Lots of sweet spices, ginger- and banana bread, marmalade, fresh dough and lots of yeast. Light hops in the finish. Quite sweet with yeasty bitter finish. Full bodied. Ok

Thanks to WillemsUrenkel for that one! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass deep golden, huge head. Starts intense malty, wheaty, more and more spicy. Fruity notes of peaches and apricot. Finish light alcoholic, still okay. Not bad!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
0,3 l bottle from Slijterij Benting, Coevorden. And, as I write everytime at Maallust ratings, a simple but perfect and informative label art design. An unclear pale orange in the glass, small fine foamy head. Malt and dry fruits on the nose. Taste dry apricot, malt, pleasant sweetness, hop in the second row. Nuts and cookies, sweeter to the end. Not so alcoholic as expected. Enjoyed it a lot!

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Standard tripel with a creamy taste of malt and aroma hops. Has a weird metallic touch, bit unpleasent.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Lots of sweet pale malts in this one. It’s a good balance against the fruity yeast. Different to a traditional Tripel.

Strong tripel with delicate citrus flavours. Nice bitterness and aftertaste is hoppy. Lots of carbon for the freshness

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle, pours hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma: grass, earthy, floral. Taste: floral, earthy, caramel. Sweet, with a bitter in the back. Typical Maallust earthiness, which i don?t really like that much in a tripel.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle 30cl. Clear golden color, tiny frothy white head, dissipates quickly but nice lacing; sweet malts, yeast, banana, grassy and floral hops, citrus, alcohol; moderate sweetbitter taste, spicy, alcohol; full body, creamy texture, sharp on the tongue; herbal bitter finish, sweet and earthy notes and again alcohol. A somewhat coarse beer, worthy of its name which means heavy hitter (by the way also the Dutch name for beagle boy).
