Enniskillen (1507), Port Angeles, Washington, USA May 4, 2008 Draft @ SeaTac. Black with a thin cream colored head. Aroma is a light roastiness, chocolate, and coffee. Taste is chocolate, roasted malts, not too complex but not repulsing. Bradrcr (525), Renton, Washington, USA Apr 27, 2008 Mac blackcat porter 11 3 13 4 6
3/22/08 On tap at the Cask Festival. Aroma is chocolate sweet with a creamy undertone. Appearance is dark brown with a moderate head. Flavor is simple and grainy. Mouthfeel is medium-high bodied with a medium carb texture. Overall, not bad, but the aroma way better than the flavor. scrizzz (446), kirkland, Washington, USA Mar 4, 2008 burnt coffee, nearly completely black. dry roast flavor doesn’t do a ton for the complexity, but makes it very easy to drink. i always fill up my growler with this since you can get the amber everywhere. french roasted coffee ground finish. too bad it’s 3am and i’m by myself, i’ll have to finish this growler alone before it goes bad CapFlu (3242), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Dec 27, 2007 (Draught) Sampled at Taphouse in Seattle. Deep red with an almond-coloured head. Nose of mild coffee. Minor diacetyl and a bland, buttery finish. Poor.
