4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 AngusLovesBeer (1) - Allegan, Michigan, USA - OCT 18, 2012 does not count
Had a 22oz and a 16oz at the African Lounge at Sea-Tac Intl Airport in Seattle. Great Aroma, no funky after taste (or finish) the Beer Snobs may say. Really enjoyed this brew. I would order it again.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 bpreo (1170) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - JAN 7, 2012
I had this beer a while back, and just recently found it on the "to-rate" list on my cellular telephone. It’s an IPA.
2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 7/20 Smurf2055 (610) - Seattle, Washington, USA - NOV 24, 2011
On tap at Wing Central on the Ave in the U district.
Aroma was strong, citrus and hops galore.
Appearance was orange to dark yellow with about a centimeter of off-white head.
Tastes like a typical hop bomb. I am pretty sure there’s Simcoe hops in this one. Bitter with a strong bite.
Palate was nicely carbonated. Very bitter. Goes down easy enough.
Overall, I would classify it with the rest of the typical North West hop bombs. It’s a shame because I’m a big fan of their Amber. Not for me.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 improvjock (288) - Seattle, Washington, USA - NOV 22, 2011
On tap at Africa Lounge. Pours a burnIshed gold with with small white head. Overpowering piney hops in the aroma. A bit of honeyed sweetness, followed by a strong hoppy bitterness. Tastes ok, but a bit more bitter than I usually like.
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Sammer (885) - Plano, Texas, USA - APR 29, 2011
Poured from tap at Africa Lounge in Seattle Airport. Served in frosty mug. Deep golden color with a nice white head. Aroma is citrus and malts. Taste is hoppy with notes of grapefruit. Bitter finish. Not a ’big" IPA, but a nice one.

Malty creamy mellow sweet caramel doughy hint body. Clean bitter hop spice end. (4.0 / 5.0) Sampled 5 oz. Taster @ Seattle, Fremont Oktoberfest on 9/26/2010. Tasty hoppy flavor even dead taste buds!
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 skoisirius (1136) - Earth, Washington, USA - APR 21, 2010
Had this randomly a few times at random fests around town here in Seattle. More of a widely acceptable flavored IPA, hints of the spice from the flagship brew from M&J’s make it into this providing a nice little addition. Decent.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 riversideAK (5404) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - FEB 8, 2009
On tap at Africa Lounge. The aroma is pretty doughy with some bready yeast and floral and peppery hops. The pour is hazy and amber with a decent head. The flavor is doughy, bready, and floral with a long peppery finish. This would probably be my favorite of their beers actually.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 AmEricanbrew (4868) - Belcher, Louisiana, USA - OCT 28, 2008
Draft@Afrika Lounge. Deep amber with a viscous tan head. Mild floral piney aroma with dark bread and caramel. Medium body. Overbalanced flavor of grainy, yeasty bready malt grist is lightly sweet. Has a mild floral hop taste, with a good hop bitterness to finish. Similar to their Amber but not near as good.
