COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Can, thx to Rune. A clear one with a bit pale golden colored body and a dense, medium sized white head. The aroma is lightly fruity, with grass, some tropical fruits and a flowery touch. There’s a decent bitterness in the flavor, both initially and in the end, with fruitymess and some grass as well. Not much maltyness. Medium body and a decent carbonation. A decent beer, nothing more, and as it seems to be brewed for some 135 years anniversary, it’s sort of disappointing. 130111

Endelig en norsk pils som ikke er i den tradisjonelle carlsbergstilen. Virkelig en nytelse.

Can from friend, many thanks Peter. Golden color with small white head. Malty aroma with bitter hops. Malty taste with metallic notes, Saaz hops. Bittersweet finish. Surprisingly drinkable beer.

Can from Ultra enjoyed at home
Pale golden, big white head. Smells of grassy hops, silo, malts. Light sweet, some cooked vegetables, quite clean and crisp. Moderate to medium bitter finish, grassy hops

0,5L can. Light lemonade and musty hop and yeast aroma. They attempts made beer, similar like Czech. It is not. Easy note is, but is weak and not impressive. Light fruits, easy hops, ragged, sweetish. Lemonade flavor finish.

This 0,5L can was my rating no. 77 - in honour of my hometown Tromsř, the origin city for Mack Brewery founded 18’77. Floral hoppy scents with some citrus and pale malts. Pours an average normal semi-dense white head on top of the straw coloured body. Nice "svetly lezak" taste, with pale malts, hops, hints of lemon. Mouthfeel good. Aftertaste very normal, and overall absolutely not watery. It is possible that the hops ("Saaz"?) are of the finest quality that gives this beer a czech pilsner style and quality. I have only seen it canned. The moderate 4,7 abv makes it available in all supermarkets in Norway, and hopefully the brewery will conserve this recipe for many years ahead and spread it to other countries. This is one of the best bright beers of Norway.

This one is actually one of the better norwegian industrial pilsners I’ve ever tried, keeps the freshness pretty good, and the balance bitter/sweet is pretty close to the original Urquell. Well done MAck!

500 ml can. BB 13/Jun/14. Havna Pub, Kirkenes, Norway. Slightly cloudy yellow golden colour with a tiny white head. A mild aroma with some malt and a touch of fruitiness. The flavour is mildly fruity hoppy with sweetness and a tiny hint of bitterness. Quite refreshing but very mild flavour. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
