COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Afterski is a light lager brewed on wheat malt and roasted malt. The brew is cooler than traditional beer and therefore suitable to accompany both snacks as well as your traditional matpakke - and it tastes great on its own!

500 ml can. Deep reddish golden colour. Clear. Small white head that clings to the glass. Rounded and sweet malty aroma with hints of cranberries. High carbonation that balances with the residual sugars. Surprisingly flavourful. Nice mellow malty flavours. Light-bodied indeed, but there is enough stuff in here to make up for that. Some bitterness, but not much. Decent beer.

Biggish coarseish white head shrinks slowly. Copper body. Light aroma of grain and caramel with buttery notes and a faint hint of grassy hops. Dry, grassy buttery taste of rounded caramel malts. Faint fruity hints. Papery aftertaste with notes of metal. Slightly harsh mouthfeel. Clean palate. Not much taste, but not tasteless, either. Decent. (0.5l can from Centra.)

0,5 l can. This was better than expected. Wheat malt gives a fine head over a golden lager. Some cereals and bread, Sweet malt, and some crisp bitterness, too. IT’s not much, but when you consider the competition it is all right.

Can 0,5l. Pale golden colored. A good-looking white head lasting for a while. Aroma of grain. Sweet malty flavor with hints of grass. Sweet bitter aftertaste. An OK thirst quencher.

Can. Quite pale golden body, but not as pale as it’s brother smrprty. Luckily. No sediments, and a fluffy off-white head on top. Nice lacings. This is one of the brews that get’s a 3.5 on appearance from me. The aroma is quite nice, but far from outstanding, with a balance between fruity hops and pale malts giving it a slightly sweet touch. Fruity flavor with malt and some hops giving it a little bitterness. Effervescent and quite sugary in the mouth, and it has a finish that is quite short except for the sweetness. The bitterness and fruityness disappears too quick. Considering it’s market target being the youth in the ski resorts, it’s surprisingly good, but that’s it. On the other hand, I guess this is better suited for lawn mowing than many, many other Norwegian semi-macros. (080126)
