On tap @ Cacti Art Cafe, Bergen. It’s so cold from the tap that it’s hard to distinguish too much taste. Maybe just as good; this does not taste even remotely like anything but a bland, boring pale lager. Looks like one, smells like one and tastes like one. Perhaps some notes of cardboard or cooked veggies would’ve surfaced eventually, but I think I can rate this as "boring macrobrew" right of the bat. Very drinkable, though, and without any aftertaste whatsoever. Perhaps meant as a beer for people who don’t like beers. Or teenagers. Or something. Try again Mack, this time without leaning on marketing gimmicks like "first beer to the North Pole". Jeez.

Can 50 CL. Apperance; Light golden, clear with a minimal white head. Aroma, Light sweet, hoppy and a sence of lemon. The flavor continues light sweet and hoppy. A beer with not too much flavor, but a nice and refreshing beer.

Can (thanks yngwie!). Golden colour, mediumsized white head, some lace. Aroma is maize, sweet malts, some mild grassy hops as well as some tones of rubber/metal. Flavour is harsh grass, some rubber and mild olive oil -like notes. Slightly oily palate. Ugh.

(Can, ABV 4.7%). Clear golden color, decent white head, some lace. Metallic, vegetably, malty aroma. Kind of flat mouthfeel. Light papery, grainy and harsh flavor with tiny notes of green apples, but overall very tasteless. No bitterness. Quickly vanishing flavors. Useless.

Can. High creamy white lasting head. Clear yellow body. Very sweet barley malt aroma. Flavor less sweet but rather watery with little hops bitterness or other characteristics. Low carbonation, short aftertaste.

Pours a two finger white head that fades quickly to a thin layer leaving a good lace. Clear amber color. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Skunky nose. Flavor is hoppy with bitter skunky finish. 39 NOK ~ $7.80 for a 330ml blue bottle apparently brewed for the Hurtigruten cruise ship. From my notes - 7/14/2008. ABV is 4.7%

UPDATED: JUN 22, 2008 0,33 l can. Pale pils. Small white head, very thin body and doesn’t taste all that much. Quite a lot CO2 which gives it a slightly bitter aftetaste. There are better alternatives.

500 ml can . Pale golden body with a thin white head. Aroma is vague grain and apple. Flavor is light malty with some fruit and hint of a harsh, metallic bitterness. Forgettable.

500 ml can. Pale golden colour. Crystal clear. Medium-sized fluffy white head that clings to the glass. Crisp floral hop aroma with a hint of citrus. Mild malt flavours dominated by a crisp hop flavour. Light-bodied, and could have used a lot more body. Finishes with a dry powdery hop bitterness. Bland, but works nicely on a hot summer day.

Bottle in Bodo. Cold. Good. Smooth. Refreshing. Hoppy. No complaints, a fine enough lager.
