rickgordon (3060), Göteborg, Sweden Mar 31, 2006 Bottled. Thanks Roger Furseth.
Okay, this is not at all a flawless beer but it has character. Just like some breweries, it suffers from bad environment. Dark copper colour it is, the head is big and light brown. Aroma is very buttery, on the edge of being harsh but I enjoy it. Flavour is wonderfully soft malty, there is a gentle touch of roastiness/licorice and also chocolate. A bit on the sweet side perhaps but here it just adds to the flavour. Long finish. Furseth (1105), Kungälv, Sweden May 8, 2006 Tested 15/8-05: Bottle. Dark red to Black body: Nice white medium foam.Aroma of Caramel and little bit of citrus bitterness in the end. Big body and balnced bitternes and sweetnes. long bitter finish. A nice bock. Ole_R (1167), Oslo, Norway Jan 24, 2007 Bottle. Small tan head over clear reddish brown body. Fresh, fairly dry malt aroma. Also some light fruitiness with notes of floral hops. Malt-flavored. Not too sweet, with a pleasant mild hoppy and slight fruity background. Well balanced. Rather light-bodied. Sweetish and spicy finish. A very enjoyable Bock. Papsoe (9980), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 24, 2005 Updated: Jul 6, 2005(Bottle 33 cl) Brown beer, not much head. Very malty and smoked flavours coming closed to being almost burned. Lots of sweetnes and a rather discreet bitterness. Tasty. Another exceptional Norwegian Bock of high quality. 270804 Nightfall (292), Athens, Greece Apr 11, 2008 Another fine beer thanks to KnutAlbert!
