2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
330ml bottle carried all the way from Vinmonopolet Langnes by Rune. Thanks! Pours a mahogany body with small head. Prunes, figs and caramel, almost like Christmas. Some milk chocolate and plums in flavour. The alcohol is hidden, but in the very finish you actually sense it. I would prefer this beer with food. 2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Dark caramel-syrup colored body with a quickly fading medium off-white head. Nose is caramel, syrup, dark malts and hints of metal. Taste is very similar: caramely sugar tones, hints of roasted malts, dark syrup and metal again - like someone dropped a copper coin into the glass and let it sit there for a while. Some yeasty, alcoholic tones also surface in the finish as the beer warms up more. Medium body, fairly soft carbonation. Not too bad; without the metal this could have been a good bock, but instead "mediocre" is the only thing that comes to mind.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Metallic body with a black, full-sized, backlit keyboard and a matte, long-lasting, 15 inch, high resolution screen. 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7, 8 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD and... Oh, I’m sorry, that was my MacBook rating, here is my Mack Bok rating: the colour is a bit lighter than the colour of two last dunkler bocks I’ve had, this one is medium brown. The small, light brown head reduces quickly to a patchy film, and there is very little lacing. The aroma is sweet, as it should be, but not that sweet. There are some dried dark fruits in there, but what is dominating is a stinging alcoholic scent. There are also a certain solvent-like thing (or maybe it’s just the alcohol that’s talking). It sure is different, but I’m not sure if I really like it that much. The taste is medium sweet and light bitter, with a light bitter finish. The flavours are also very alcoholic. it reminds me of my first alcohol filled chocolate I had when I was a kid: it’s sweet, it’s sort of good, but far too much of that unpleasant alcohol feeling! There is also some spices, almost like a Jägermeister (the latter might be coloured by the fact that my wife is having a Jäger while I’m rating this beer). Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Ok beer, but the alcohol is far too biting.
