3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Elegant tall brown bottle with golden decor (not as pic), 1/2L (assumed - as there were no information about cl nor abv, b@vinmonopolet. Original recipe from 1883 brewery claims that they still use. Head starts coming out when cap’s released.
Light beige head, laceworks and persistent. Dark red brown body.
Scents of herbs, malts, hops, chocolate malts.
Tastes chocolate malts, modest hops, plums or prunes, milk chocolate notes, sweet and at the same time grainy herbal.
Smooth to palate, and ends gently and tasty. This beer goes well with dinner, or after, with the confectionery or fruits. It’s as a little confectionery bocks itself.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
330ml bottle carried all the way from Vinmonopolet Langnes by Rune. Thanks! Pours a mahogany body with small head. Prunes, figs and caramel, almost like Christmas. Some milk chocolate and plums in flavour. The alcohol is hidden, but in the very finish you actually sense it. I would prefer this beer with food. 2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Dark caramel-syrup colored body with a quickly fading medium off-white head. Nose is caramel, syrup, dark malts and hints of metal. Taste is very similar: caramely sugar tones, hints of roasted malts, dark syrup and metal again - like someone dropped a copper coin into the glass and let it sit there for a while. Some yeasty, alcoholic tones also surface in the finish as the beer warms up more. Medium body, fairly soft carbonation. Not too bad; without the metal this could have been a good bock, but instead "mediocre" is the only thing that comes to mind.
