Gr0ve (1088), Oslo, Norway Jun 6, 2008 500 ml can. Amber colour. Crystal clear. Medium-sized white head. Rich grainy aroma with caramel malts. Quite rich in fact. This is cleary a Vienna, and not a Premium Lager. Light-bodied. Smooth texured even thought there is quite a bit of carbonation. Lots of caramelly flavours. Not at all sweet though, its more that there is rich and malt slightly burnt malt flavours. Nice, and somewhat different than the other beers that you1ll find in the supermarket. larsga (2141), Oslo, Norway Nov 1, 2005 Updated: Jan 21, 2006Big, offwhite coarse-laced head; clear light brown body. Caramel malt aroma with hop hints. Taste is surprisingly fruity, mostly dominated by a very nice hop profile, and caramel malt tones. Aftertaste is nicely rounded and bitter, if somewhat subdued. Much better than expected. Somewhat light, but still a very good dark lager. It’s the aroma hops that really make this beer. Sigmund (1928), Hafrsfjord, Norway Jul 8, 2002 Fairly dark golden, apparently made with some caramel malts / colour malts. Pleasant, slightly sweet flavour, a bit thin. Could use more hops. Smaskifa (13), Oslo, Norway Jun 19, 2008 Slightly pale golden appearance with a decent white head. Distinct taste of caramel, but not too sweet, reminds me a lot of a typical Norwegian bayer. Overall a decent beer among the many disapointing in the asortment of the standard convenience shops here in Norway. Furseth (1118), Kungälv, Sweden Oct 5, 2007 Can : Clear red/brown colour, with a nice creamy head! Aroma of caramel, malt, fruity, citric and a dry bitternes in the end. Flavor was, almost the same, thin watery mouth feeling, with a thin body and a thin/short finish. Reminds me of a a light version of a norwegian Bayer.
