Hårek Porter is an aromatic hopped porter brewed with 7 types of malt and 3 types of hops. The beer has a round and powerful flavour of roasted malt, with a clear bitterness and characterised herbal hop aroma. The taste is long lasting and complex with a dry finish.

From Tap to Bottle, thank’s to Mack. Black whit a small lightbrown head. Aroma; nice dark fruits, plumb. Flavor; Sweet and again fruity. A bit flat, it is from Tap to bottle, so I guess I waited to long to test this one, but very nice taste..

Tap. Almost black, red tones. Small off white head. Light fruity aroma, tiny hints of coffee. Some fruit in the flavour, sweet after a while. Dry and slightly bitter finish. Not like a typical porter, but a decent beer. (Blå Rock, Tromsø, 08.07.2010)

Fra fat på Ølhallen, Blå Rock og Skarven i Tromsø. Svart som natta. OK kremaktig skum.

500ml draught at Ølhallen in Tromsø where it was served modestly chilled. Frothy, beige-yellow head with good retention, leaving a lacing trail down the side of the glass. The good looking head is sustained by a very dark body with a deep ruby tint. Smooth aroma of dark malts and dark fruits. Comprehensive taste of slightly roasted grainy chocolate offset by sappy orange shells added by a fragile, dark spicy touch. The best part, however, is a delicious and lingering finish of dry hop bitterness (above 70 IBU). Hidden alcohol. A most moreish, well balanced brew and definitely one of the best from the world’s northernmost brewery. On Friday eve I had three more watching Chile against Spain on TV at Blå Rock Café in Tromsø, 25.06.2010).
