2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Looking decent in the glass, with a finger-thick, off-white to white head sitting on top of a hazy, golden-orange body with lively carbonation. The aroma has a distinct sourish touch, with wheat, lemon, chalky notes, faint hints of bubble gum and some grassy, citrusy hops. Where the aroma didn’t have anything orangey, the flavor has a lot of it. At least at first, it’s soon overpowered by wheat, some sour-bitter citrus thing, a touch of hoppy bitterness and a good dash of lemon. It’s medium to full-bodied, dry, and quite effervescent. A lasting, orangey, lemony flavor finish the whole thing. Overall, a decent beer, but I will definitely pick a Paulaner when visiting Vinmonopolet again, as that’s on a completely different quality level. 110702

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at Frost, Bodø. Pours a hazy straw yellow colour with an off-white and huge head. Aroma of banana, spices and cloves, Belgian yeast and lemon. Pretty sweet. Sweet is also the flavour with more spices, grass and is a little strange bitter in the end. Has a smooth mouth feel, and a light bitterness. A decent and balanced hefeweizen, but a weird after taste though.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Sample from bottle. Cloudy yellow body, small white head. Missing the fresh look a german hefe usually has, that may be the glass of course. Aroma of wheat, orange, very low hefe notes. Sweet taste of hops and wheat. I’m really missing the spicy yeast taste here, otherwise it’s a good beer.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Gut! 7/9/11/9/8/9

This "hveteøl" took a while to pour into the glass due to high carbonation. It looks great in the glass with its white fluffy and fizzy head, with a yellow hazy body. The head disappear relatively quickly though. I surely detect some ripe banana in the aroma, but the citrus is most dominating here. Nice yeasty aroma with wheat as well. A bit sweet and not much aftertaste. Much enjoyed. I must also complimet Mack on the beautiful bottle design. It looks great.
