2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Biggish white head of coarse lace over clear golden body with a single tiny rising column of bubbles. Light, grassy hop aroma with touches of apple and far at the back a little malts. Taste is grainy malts with touches of bitterness and a light grassy hop profile. Faintly chewy mouthfeel. Aftertaste is lightly bitter with a touch of salt. Decent, but boring. (0.5l can.)

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
330 ml bottle. Rated as the Aass version. Golden body with a white head. Aroma is grassy and light hoppy. Flavor is grain, fruity and low bitterness. Just like almost all other Norwegian pilsners. The story behind the name (mus=pussy) is from a local beer shop many years ago. This shop was managed and operated by females only and going quite well. Then they decided to get their own label produced by Aass. And since they all where female, and had a sense of humor they decided the name to be Museøl with a carton of a mice on the label. In the start it was only possible to buy this beer in this particular shop.

330 ml bottle. Golden colour. Crystal clear. Tall coarse white head. Delicious grainy malt aroma with clean floral hops with a hint of lemon. Crisp carbonation. Light-bodied. Clean pilsener malt flavour and a mellow hop bitterness. Finishes slightly dry. Nice pilsener.

With two happy mice the can label looks more like a children’s drink. Pours a clear pale yellow body with some lasting frothy, white foam. Metallic smell with light hoppy hints. Citric fruity freshness before the grassy flavours take over. Medium sweetness. Thin palate (11.05.2007).

Can 0,5l. Pale golden coloured - almost yellow. A large white head when poured from a distance. Spicy, metallic aroma. Bready flavor with a cautious bitter aftertaste. A dry, cardoardish finish. No mouse found.

Mouse-pilsener! [Mouse = Norwegian slang for pussy] Probably some weird marketing-people at the brewery who needs to get laid...
Pours pale pilsner golden, medium white head. Grainy aroma. Some fresh hops is coming through as well. Grainy and bready flavors. Hardly no hopbitterness. Sourish and grainy finish. Very ordinary.
