Bottle. An unclear brown colored beer with a light beige head. Acetone, some prunes and roasted malts, spice notes, some cherry and a touch of vinegar in the aroma. It’s rather tart on the palate, medium body fullness, with flavors of acetone, raisins, roasted malts and notes of cherry and spices. Lasting finish. Sure off this one, not pleasant at all, guess it could’ve been a 6-3-6-3-13 beer if it was in good shape, but it’s still not worth repeating. 160102

Bottle 500ml @ Gunnfryd 50th birthday tasting
Pours dark reddish brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, vinegar and berries. Taste is light sweet and medium to heavy sour with a long dry, vinegar, acetone and berry finish. Body is light to medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

500 ml bottle. Dark amber body with a thin beige head. Aroma has caramel malt and cherry stone with some vinegar. Flavor is sweet and sour, slightly spicy and lots of unpleasant sour vinegar. From the previous ratings there seems to be an infection that develops since the release of this beer. Right now I find it undrinkable without any traces of what this might have been tasting.

24.12.2015, 0,5l bottle @ home:
Small bubbly shortlasting head. Aroma is slightly sour-ish dry, vinegar, minerals, bark, grass, weeds, cloves, dark sugar, hints of balsamic vinegar. Taste is slightly sour-ish mineraly, weeds, grass, minerals, mild vinegar, soil, bark, weeds, spices, metal tank, dark malts, dark sour berries. Little bitterness, sour-ish mineraly mouthfeel. I refuse to believe Mack has made a spiced sour-ish barrelaged beer on purpose. So this beer is definately infected. But for what it is, there’s still something interesting vinegary about it, making it not completely awful...

berlinoise2go (686) - NORWAY - DEC 19, 2015
Bottle (50cl) from Vinmonopolet, Oslo. Murky, dark greyish brown colour, no head. Spicy, acidic aroma with aniseed, cloves, malt, vinegar. Medium body, refreshing mouthfeel, transient vinegar burn on the palate. Taste is tart and spicy, to some degree balanced by fruity sweetness. Unbalanced and fairly unpleasant when cold, but improves significantly when getting warmer.

Skinnyviking (8630) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 10, 2015
Draught at Ølhallen. High creamy white lasting head. Pitch black body. Spicy and yet watery anise cardamom and cinnamon aroma and flavor with a accidic vinaigre note. Low carbonation. Long acidic spicy finish.

Foffern (1623) - Bodø, NORWAY - DEC 7, 2015
Bottle at home. Has a dark brown to black color with a very small beige head. Spicy aroma of anise, cough syrup, cardamom, oak, black currant, roasted malt, alcohol and vinegar. Quite unpleasant and sour flavor with too much spices, cough syrup, stomach acid, cinnamon, roasted malt and soy sauce. Has a silky mouth feel, medium body and a light bitterness. A very unbalanced ale in both aroma and taste. The taste is horrible. It says "art by accident" on the label but this can only be an accident.

TBone (15918) - Pori, FINLAND - NOV 20, 2015
Bottled 500ml (AIH53, from Vm Kirkenes)
Dark opaque brown color, tiny beige head. Spicey aroma eg. star anise, clove and light sweetish caramel. Medium-bodied. Thin for ABV. Some earthy spiceyness (clove, star anise etc), tartish note, black burned malts. Too many spices mixed in. Too much.
