UPDATED: MAR 22, 2014 NISSEFANT@tap@Ølhallen into 0,25-0,3 snifter, abv 9.2% the tap master told me. Pearl-beige head. Laceworks several storeys, make a carpet layer on the dark ruby a bit hazy body. Scents roasted malts, yuletide spices, syrup licorice, faint anise. Tastes well spiced roasted choco-malts, herby touch on all of it. Well bodied. Warming end with choco-licorice-malts, some grains under, fading gently into the norwegian polar night in N-9000 Nisse City Norway. Ølhallen 2014,jan,6th. RETASTE2014mrs21th: WINTERWARMER@tap@Ølhallen into 25 cl snifter, abv 9% the blackboard told. Still a pearl-beige head, 1 finger, on a ruby almost clear body. Laceworks still that smooth carpet. Scents; roasted malts, rom-and-cola tart cream, syrup licorice, faint anise possibly. Taste; still roasted choco-malts, a big jungle of malt characters, cough syrup and spicy herbs. Good body, smooth to palate, smooth carbonator and warming end with the choco-liquorice malts, grainy modest hops back there. Å nice drink for cozy occasions, in N-9000 Capitol of Aurora Lights Norway.

From tap at Blå Rock Cafe, Tromsø 12 Des 12. Deep, deep red. Almost black. Very hazy. OK head lasting a couple of minutes and clinging to the glass. The aroma is spice & peppermint. The flavor is the same with addititional Christmas spices. Works great as a Christmas beer - but probably best as a stand alone beer for dessert.

330ml, draught at Ølhallen. Dark brown coloured body. Fading off-white head, leaving dotted spots down the glass. Smell of dark malts with subdued vapour of anise. Star anise up front in the flavour profile carefully added by other Christmas spices on a backbone of dark malts with just a little roastiness. Medium bodied. Does not get too sweet, but maybe a bit unvaried (Tromsø, 07.12.2012).
