2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 OleR (3676) - Oslo, - NOV 27, 2006
Can. Clear amber body over a small beige head. Caramel aroma with a fruity twist. Light roasty and grainy taste, also rather sweet and slight acidic. Crisp mouthfeel.
Due to the artwork on the can, this is presumably a marketing jippo from Mack to introduce the traditional Juleøl for the no-beer generation. Good job!

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Papsoe (23023) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JAN 4, 2007
(Can 50 cl) Clear, amber golden with an off-white head. The aroma has vague - very vague - hints of caramel and berries. The body is thin and malty - lightly malty - perhaps with a touch of spices. Dry finish basically without bitterness. Drinking this you’re guaranteed a sad, sad Christmas. 281206
2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Beer3000 (3118) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - NOV 20, 2006
500 ml can. Nice clear brown/dark red body with a descent beige head. Sweet, malty aroma with some caramel. Flavor is also rather sweet with some caramel. Low bitterness. Short aftertaste. All in all not the worst class D Christmas beer, specially with the offending smrprty rubbish in mind. Normally I prefer to tread this kind of beer as a lager instead of a Christmas beer. Not such a bad beer then.
1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20 Sigmund (3722) - Hafrsfjord, NORWAY - NOV 18, 2006
500 ml can. Another beer from Mack for the target group teenagers+ (who are presumed not to be able to drink beers with traceable hops), but this time they have decided to make a beer that (at least) LOOKS like a normal Christmas beer. And unlike their "smrprty" beer, this one even has a bit of aroma and flavour (but not much hops, of course ...). Amber colour, huge head which lasts a while. Weak aroma, some caramel sweetness and Christmas cookies. Soft and thin/watery mouthfeel, some malty sweetness with hints of caramel and Christmas cookies. Hardly any bitterness at all. Not offensive, but very boring!
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20 KnutAlbert (4613) - Oslo, NORWAY - NOV 17, 2006
500 ml can. Fine amber. Sweet, quite full taste. Dry, spicy finish. Surprisingly good!
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 larsga (4684) - Oslo, NORWAY - NOV 14, 2006
Huge fine-laced offwhite head over beautiful reddish brown body with some carbonation. Soft caramelly malt aroma with notes of cinnamon and, very faintly, pine needles. Taste is watery roasty caramel with soft pine needle hops and some acidity. Aftertaste is roastiness with some hints of cardboard at the end. A peppery dryness in the mouth lingers. This is a bit thin, but definitely decent, despite the silly marketing. (0.5l can.)
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Gr0ve (1879) - Oslo, NORWAY - NOV 14, 2006
500 ml can. Light brown with a red glow. Crystal clear. Tall fluffy white meringue head. Crisp grainy aromas with dash of malts in the back. A litlle bitterness at first, but then a slightly acidic maltiness covers the tongue. Very grainy and a little fruity, but is lacking much of the sweet nutty maltiness that is to be expected. A slight unpleasant harshness in the finish. Clearly a cheap and easy drinking Christmas beer for the lager drinkers.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 yngwie (9205) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - NOV 7, 2006
Can. A fancy-looking can gives the impression that it is the design that is intended to sell the beer, not the content. It pours clear, dark golden, with a beige head. Weak aroma with caramel and malt. It reminds me the most of the smell of a brown pub in the morning. It is quite thin-bodied and weak-flavored, with caramel, malt and some hops. The finish is caramel and hops, and it leaves a bit sticky sensation in your mouth. (061107)
