Pours a thick tar-coffee like beer with tan ale. Aroma is roasted malts with chocolate. Flavor is malts and chocolate. Body is super light for this style but it’s still decent. Carbonation is medium.

Tin from Tesco. Never had this before as it was always overpriced but they’ve dropped the price so here goes. Wow this is great. Fantastic roasted toffee malt aroma with a roasted sweet body and a fairly bitter sweet finish. Lovely

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
can at the Avon Combined Services Club, Clifton Bristol. Black with a slight, but tight tan head. Very easy drinking with sweet aromas of chocolate, milk and dark fruit. The flavour was much of the same with plenty of sweetness and some coffee roastiness. Not bad for such a weak ABV.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Near black colored with brown hints. Medium sized beige head. Sweet and caramelly roasted aroma with some burned brown sugar. Thin to medium bodied, still not watery palate even only 3% ABV. Flavor is also sweet with caramel in start, roastiness also here. Aftertaste turns to somehow lactic and sour with still roastiness.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
33cl can from Sainsbury’s on offer. Black with tan head. Heavily roasted malt aroma, but I detect some burnt cane sugar. Cigarette smoke on the aroma too. Hey, it’s a 3% stout. I think it’s fairly dirnkable. Not too sweet, some residual sugar in mouth. Fine
