Pours a nice brownish black. Looks very pretty. Amazing sweet taste. Sugary with some fruit. Would definitely buy again.

UPDATED: APR 25, 2008 Pours like dirty oil, leaves a beautiful dark-reddish brown head that bubbles away over time just like a pancake on a skillet. Absolutely beautiful! Light lacing. Roasted smells and straight up coacoa. Thin on the palate, but not too thin. The taste lives up to its aroma, but with a great blend of raisins, anise... just... makes me... want to drink more... and more... leaves a nice (yet modestly) chocolately taste on the back of the tongue. A lovely and easy to drink beer for such a dark and tasty brew.

12 oz bottle. Ebony with a smooth tan head and wet lace. Nose of brown sugar and clay; mild grapes. Medium body with a sweet, lactic tang. Taste is brown sugar and plum. Dries with coffee and currants. The epitome of a sweet stout.

medium body, average carbonation. Easier to drink in quantity than some. Flavors of raisin, licorice, chocolate, caramel; tastes "bright" rather than "dark", but with a good depth of flavor without being too intense.

12 0z bottle, ink black pour with misshapen dark khaki head, some coffee and roasted malt flavors but a little one dimensional

12oz bottle. Black with a tan head. Milk chocolate aroma. Sweet roasted malt and vanilla taste with almost no bitterness or hops. medium and softly carbonated body. Pleasing and easy to down, similar to chocolate milk, but thats about all I get out of it, no excitement.
