Part of a sampler given to me by my cousin. Pitch black, with aroma of chocolate, coffee, and dark rich malt. Flavor followed through. Very full flavored for the relatively low alcohol content. Very enjoyable. Silky smooth mouth feel.

Dakr pour, creamy tan head. The smell is nice, toffee and coffee cake. Flavor is sweet, zippy, like a sweet guiness, which makes it not that bad.

Poured from a bottle. Dark brown color, large off white head. Smells of sweet roasted malt. Tastes like a coffee with lots of creamer and sugar. Not very good.

Huge head, unattractive brown, fair lacing. Definite coffee aroma, but tastes like coffee with too much creamer.

Bottles from Shop on Valley Road, Antigua. Black pour with a tan head. Aroma was brown sugar, molasses. and roast. Sweet, burnt flavour with more roast. Creamy mouth feel with some building bitterness. This was hands down my beer of the holiday. Much better than anticipated. In tandem with some local dadli bless...yes.

Aroma of vanilla and chocolate malt. Pours a pitch black with a small beige head. Nice sweetness similar to a milk stout with hints of dark roasted coffee, cream, and vanilla.

There it is, Excalibur! Heisenberg’s 100% purity batch of blue crystal. This is the Lady of the Galadhrim, who is more “fair” than all the jewels beneath the earth. Brew of brews, crème de la crème, nectar of the Gods. This is gold, Jerry, GOLD! And oh, as I run out of pop culture clichés, how I dreaded this moment of reckoning. The fearsome mares of disappointment sat on my stomach at night and gave me bad dreams about a Mackeson that would not taste as good as I had hoped. But the forces of good kept my bottle holy and pure. It poured black as a telephone, tarish, with a beautiful shiny russet, creamy head, excellent for a bottled beer. The aroma has chocolate syrup, caramel, maple sap and dark fruits. And this beauty has a very simple, round taste. Dark chocolate, molasses and plums, that’s it. Yes, there is butter and a touch of tobacco leaves and dried mushrooms, but don’t get too distracted by these mentioned “touches”. This is basically dark chocolate syrup and molasses without being too sweet (never cloying), but just DARK. Never have a beer tasted as dark before. Round and slick, sensual and inebriating (without being alcoholic), the body is full, creamy, velvety, with very soft carbonation and a milky finish, where I can get very little bitterness, if any at all. The absence of yogurt sourness and dairy effluent whiffs makes it less complex than other milk stouts, but its beauty is exactly centred in its simplicity. No other brew will be as perfect and simple. Haugh, henceforth I will call nothing fair and pure unless it be the Mackeson XXX Milk Stout.

Deep dark brown looking beer with cinnamon-colored head and some lacing sticking to the glass. Brown sugar and syrup sweetness, with milk coffee and maybe cinnamon or some herbs. Taste is really sweet with milk coffee and cyrup. Light stout with lots of sweetness.

Dark brown body, medium khaki head, spotty lacing. Dark chocolate, some dark fruits, lactose. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, lingering semi-sweet finish.

Can from Hong Kong: Mainly molasse aroma, sweetness, cola. Black color, brownish head. Flavor is sweet, sugary, molasse, caramel, cola. Maybe I do not like the style, but this is quite to sweet.
